MAIN ENGINE CAMSHAFT & BLOCK RENEWAL:

Our team arranged to get a replacement engine block section for the client's vessel's Main Engine, specially made by makers Hudong Heavy Machinery China (HHM- B & W Licencee Engine maker) . Soon after the engine damage was sustained, working along with the ship owners, prevented loss of earning Days by arranging for temporary repair with Vessel's Classification Society's approval. Vessel continued to trade until the replacement of block was prepared and vessel readied for a planned lay-up. Through prudent planning and deployment of capable engineers to the vessel, the complete repair process was executed with good coordination at a local shipyard.

CRANE RENEWAL:

A geared handymax bulkcarrier had damaged slew bearings and multitude of problems with the cranes hydraulic power train. Makers quoted a long lead time, which was pushing the vessel to go off charter. IMSE India through its wide network replaced the cranes with over hauled second hand cranes under classification socity supervision. This not only improved the cargo handling capacity of the vessel it also was carried out with minimal time loss.

AUXILIARY ENGINE RENEWAL:

A passenger ferry with crankshaft failure in one of the twin main engines and crankshaft failure in aux-engines was referred to IMSE India. We successfully installed crankshafts on Main Engine & Aux-Engine. The job included selecting the crankshaft, getting Classification Socity approval, re - assembly of the engine & commissioning. This job was done when the vessel was trading without any loss of earning days.

CEMENT SPILLAGE & CLEAN-UP:

A modern bulk carrier with multinational crew which was loading in the Indian Coast was referred to IMSE India. The vessel had loaded cement clinkers as previous cargo and spillage of cement dust has formed a hard coating on cargo hold, exposed deck & accommodation structure. This caused severe dissatisfaction to the charters and shippers. The vessel was on the brink of losing the charter. With our knowledge, leadership, access to manpower and know-how of proprietary chemicals were able to remove the cement. The vessel was able to load cargo avoiding huge commercial loss.
